Beyond Pesticides works with allies in protecting public health and the
environment to lead the transition to a world free of toxic pesticides. The
founders, who established Beyond Pesticides as a nonprofit membership organization
in 1981, felt that without the existence of such an organized, national network,
local, state and national pesticide policy would become, under chemical industry
pressure, increasingly unresponsive to public health and environmental concerns.
Founded in 1990, Bioneers is a nonprofit organization that promotes practical
environmental solutions and innovative social strategies for restoring the
Earth and communities.
Chefs Collaborative works with chefs and the greater food community to
celebrate local foods and foster a more sustainable food supply. The Collaborative
inspires action by translating information about our food into tools for making
knowledgeable purchasing decisions. Through these actions, our members embrace
seasonality, preserve diversity and traditional practices, and support local
economies.

Earth Pledge identifies and promotes innovative techniques and technologies
that restore the balance between human and natural systems. Through demonstration,
education, and research, they deliver viable models to government, industry,
and communities. The New York region is their laboratory for implementing
replicable solutions that will inspire and facilitate a global transition
to sustainability.
Eco Education is dedicated to fostering within young people the appreciation, knowledge, values, and skills necessary to inspire ecologically sound decisions and actions. Eco Education's programs are unique in that they not only increase young people's understanding of the environment, but they also provide relevant opportunities for them to participate in the resolution of environmental issues
Ecotrust's Food & Farms program is focused on creating a vibrant, healthy,
values-based regional food economy where access, quality, resource
stewardship and local control are the norm, not the exception.

Environmental investigations have been our specialty since 1993. Their
team of scientists, engineers, policy experts, lawyers and computer
programmers pours over government data, legal documents, scientific
studies and their own laboratory tests to expose threats to your
health and the environment, and to find solutions.
Healthy Child Healthy World is dedicated to protecting the health and well being of children from harmful environmental exposures. We educate parents, support protective policies, and engage communities to make responsible decisions, simple everyday choices, and well-informed lifestyle improvements to create healthy environments where children and families can flourish.
(Formerly known as CHEC - Children's Health Environmental Coalition)
Heifer International has been working to give families a source of food rather than short-term relief for over 60 years, and today, families in 128 countries around the world have benefited from their aid, creating an expanding network of hope, dignity, and self-reliance. Heifer's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth by "passing on the gift" of their animals' offspring, as well as the knowledge, resources and skills they've gained.
The Organic Center for Education and Promotion generates credible, peer
reviewed information and communicates the verifiable benefits of organic farming
and products to society, resulting in the conversion of agriculture to organic
methods, improved health for the earth and its inhabitants, and greater awareness
and demand for organic products.

Slow Food USA is a nonprofit eco-gastronomic organization that supports
a biodiverse, sustainable food supply, local producers, heritage foodways,
and rediscovery of the pleasures of the table.
Small Planet Institute seeks to identify the root causes – economic, political, and psychological – taking our planet in a disastrous direction that, individually, none of us would choose. By spreading positive stories and with a causal framework in mind, citizens no longer view their actions disparagingly as “mere drops in the bucket.” Once we’re able to see the “bucket,” we realize our drops are quite spectacular; the bucket is actually filling up.
Founded in 1987 by some of the nation's most visionary leaders in socially
responsible entrepreneurship and investment, Social Venture Network (SVN)
is a nonprofit network committed to building a just and sustainable world
through business.
