Beyond Pesticides

Beyond Pesticides works with allies in protecting public health and the environment to lead the transition to a world free of toxic pesticides. The founders, who established Beyond Pesticides as a nonprofit membership organization in 1981, felt that without the existence of such an organized, national network, local, state and national pesticide policy would become, under chemical industry pressure, increasingly unresponsive to public health and environmental concerns.

Bioneers

Founded in 1990, Bioneers is a nonprofit organization that promotes practical environmental solutions and innovative social strategies for restoring the Earth and communities.

Chefs Collaborative

Chefs Collaborative works with chefs and the greater food community to celebrate local foods and foster a more sustainable food supply. The Collaborative inspires action by translating information about our food into tools for making knowledgeable purchasing decisions. Through these actions, our members embrace seasonality, preserve diversity and traditional practices, and support local economies.

MaryJanesFarm

Ever since I moved to my Idaho farm 20 years ago, I've played around with recipes for organic fast food. While feeding my family and farm crew and perfecting a solution for the dilemma of what-to-cook, I dreamed up my MaryJanesFarm magazine. I wanted a women's magazine where we can share solutions and show off our talents and really just a place where we can talk.

Small Planet Instituteheifer

Small Planet Institute

Small Planet Institute seeks to identify the root causes – economic, political, and psychological – taking our planet in a disastrous direction that, individually, none of us would choose. By spreading positive stories and with a causal framework in mind, citizens no longer view their actions disparagingly as “mere drops in the bucket.” Once we’re able to see the “bucket,” we realize our drops are quite spectacular; the bucket is actually filling up.

Social Venture Network

Founded in 1987 by some of the nation's most visionary leaders in socially responsible entrepreneurship and investment, Social Venture Network (SVN) is a nonprofit network committed to building a just and sustainable world through business.
